New varieties Spring 2026

For many varieties, the plants grafted in 2025 are still too small.
So we’ll be short of Corsican blood oranges, Hana Yuzu, Yuzu Nr1, Taiwan and others at least until autumn.

In the meantime, there are some interesting new varieties available this spring, all with a red hue.

The Violeta orange tree is an ancient Catalan variety, very rare and just rescued from oblivion.
An aromatic blood orange, hardy enough to take refuge in Ticino (-8C).
Fruits turn purple at the end of the season.

Le Pomelo Valentine est une création américaine.
Un fruit à la pulpe rouge intense, trés doux, en forme de coeur, mur vers mi-février…
Un cadeau parfait pour la Saint Valentin, spectaculaire, savoureux et résistant (-10C).

The Tarocco orange is a miraculous mutation of the Sanguinelli orange, a treasure discovered in Sicily on the slopes of Mount Etna around 1900. Today, these oranges with their exceptional flavor are exported all over the world.
With a hardiness down to -8C, it can thrive on the shores of Lake Maggiore.
