Description

Huyou is a Chinese hybrid citrus fruit that has been cultivated in the coastal province of Zhejiang for centuries.
Some villages in the Changshan region still have ultra-century-old trees, which are studied and protected.
The dried green fruit is used in traditional medicine, particularly for coughs and inflammations.
Citrus changshan-huyou is now the subject of numerous pharmacological studies.

It is a sought-after fruit in China where production is increasing, both for direct consumption and for the extraction of essential oils.
From its grapefruit and orange relatives, the Huyou combines size (300gr) with sweetness.
The harvest is as early as November, and the fruit can be kept fresh and juicy for several months.

The tree is vigorous and productive, with spicy-smelling foliage.
