Description

The orange US119 is a very original American creation, a complex hybrid (Pomelo Duncan x Poncirus x Orange Succory). Its fruit has the shape and color of an orange, but a taste of exotic fruits, mango and pineapple. The pulp is very dense, the fruit is hard and impossible to peel: cut with a knife and eat in pieces. The fruit can sometimes split once ripe in case of heavy rains, which has prevented this variety from becoming commercial. The tree is vigorous, productive and thorny. The dark green leaves are often deformed, on branches that are sometimes horizontal or at right angles.
