Description

The orange US119 is a very original American creation, a complex hybrid (Pomelo Duncan x Poncirus x Orange Succory).

Its fruit has the shape and color of an orange, but a flavor reminiscent of exotic fruits such as mango or pineapple.
The pulp is very dense, and the fruit is hard and impossible to peel: cut with a knife and eat in pieces.
The fruit can sometimes split when ripe in heavy rain, which has prevented this variety from becoming commercial.

The tree is vigorous, productive and thorny. The dark green leaves are often deformed, on branches that are sometimes horizontal or at right angles.
