Selected in the 19th century by Russian enthusiasts in Pavlovo, near Nizhny Novgorod, this lemon tree is suitable for growing in apartments.
\nWhereas a conventional lemon tree won’t withstand indoor temperatures over winter, will lose all its leaves and wither, the Pavlovo does just fine.
\nSmall in size, it can be kept in a pot and will produce lemons even in winter on a veranda or behind a window, without necessarily getting much sun.
\nThe Pavlovo lemon tree is the perfect illustration of the extreme adaptability of citrus trees.
\nSo much so that the Russians are now trying to grow it semi-outdoors, in pits transformed into mini greenhouses in winter.
\nThe fruit is a very good lemon, yellow and juicy.<\/p>\n

The Pavlovo lemon tree is not very vigorous but productive, perfect for cultivation in pots or greenhouses.
\nIt tolerates temperature variations very well, but its resistance to cold is average.
\nIndoors, it can flower in all seasons with few hours of sun. It will then bear fruit and flowers at the same time.<\/p>\n

Not suitable for cultivation in the open ground in Switzerland.
\nTo be grown in pots and kept indoors throughout the winter in a warm, moderately bright place.<\/strong><\/p>\n
