Nameiwa is a hybrid of the two most popular kumquat varieties: Meiwa (round) and Nagami (oval).
\nThe result is a vigorous tree with small round or oval fruits (2 to 3 cm), delicious eaten with the skin.
\nThis is the most cold-hardy kumquat variety, but the fruit remains vulnerable to frost.<\/p>\n
Nameiwa is very fast-growing and produces lots of ripe, orange fruit from January to March.<\/p>\n
